Open letter from Gemma Estrada, Managing Director at HCR Iberica.

September 2010 marks the 10th year that Harrison Clinical Research has been in business in Spain. We have had a very successful 10 years, growing not only our local clients, but also performing in international projects and actively contributing to the growth of HCR group.

Our Barcelona team is currently composed of 15 focussed and committed professionals including a clinical operations manager, 4 project managers and a number of CRAs and CTAs. We have successfully participated in over 100 studies -approximately 15% in phase I, 60% in phase II-III and 25% in phase IV- covering a number of therapeutic areas: oncology, haematology, ophthalmology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, cardiovascular and most recently nutritional studies.

We have earned a reputation for excellent quality management and training. We became ISO 9001-2000 certified on 23rd August 2004 and we have received every subsequent re-certification. As for our interest in training, a good example is the 8 year contribution to the Postgraduate Course in Clinical Research at the professional association of physicians (COMB). Over 70 graduate students have obtained the title of Masters in Monitoring Clinical Trials through this course.

We consider efficient project management to be the key to our operational excellence and we pride ourselves in consistently generating accurate data to support our clients’ projects.
