HCR and CNS – Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement
Munich, Germany & Brisbane, Australia.
Harrison Clinical Research (HCR), headquartered in Munich, Germany and Clinical Network Services (CNS) of Queensland, Australia, both internationally recognized Contract Research Organizations, announce the signing of a mutual Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) that will expand their global market share. This partnership adds to a network of mutual partners which includes ASKA of Canada and CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services in the USA.
“I am particularly delighted by this announcement” said CNS CEO and founder, Prof Tony (AJ) Webber. “Our companies have been close friends for many years and given that we have a long established service history together it is all the more meaningful to our clients and not simply a “coming together” for the sake of any short term goals”
Dr Benedikt van Nieuwenhove, HCR’s Vice-President of Global Operations, said, “We are very happy to come to a formal agreement after collaborating together already for many years. By aligning our companies, both of which have very similar philosophies and beginnings, we are adding a tremendous value for our clients.”
CNS COO, Russell Neal stated, “As a company focused on early phase development, we find that as our clients grow and their products move into later stage development, there are many efficiencies accessible by all parties by being able to continue to service our client’s needs on the international stage in later clinical phases by leveraging off our excellent partner network. In particular our clients can avoid having to go through an extended RFP process with CROs with whom they have no prior relationship. Through CNS’ partners, they have immediate access to a trusted and culturally similar international network and to be able to add a partner like HCR formally to our network is tremendously exciting for CNS”
In addition both companies are interested in exploring the synergies that exist between Australia’s fast start-up environment in phase 1/ First in Human (FIH) studies and with HCR’s long established and high recruiting phase 1 Clinical Unit in Munich. Both companies look forward to announcing mutual services in this regard that will enable SME clients to move quickly into the clinic and thereafter into larger patient populations, reducing their timelines significantly.
