HCR Group to extend international footprint into Scandinavia

Munich, Germany 1st December 2011 – Harrison Clinical Research (HCR), an international full service CRO known for its commitment to ‘Outsourcing Dedication’, today announced the extension of the geographic footprint of the combined group into Scandinavia. HCR already has offices throughout Europe, in the USA and in Israel. By establishing our own operations in Scandinavia we now have operational resources in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Staffing in this region had been provided previously by the CRO Cyncron, which was a long-term partner of HCR for over 6 years in the Scandinavian region. “We have enlarged the scope of our organization with qualified staff that know HCR standards and procedures in depth, this will accelerate the integration and development of the new Nordic HCR operations” said Dr. Francisco Harrison, Chairman of HCR. This new region will increase the reach of HCRs full service capabilities in geographies that are becoming increasingly important to our clients.

“With the establishment of 2 new offices in the Nordic countries, we have filled in the last European area which was not yet covered by our own resources. This addition enables us to encompass all European countries” said Dr. Benedikt van Nieuwenhove, CEO of HCR. The integration of these territories into the HCR network will enable our clients to benefit from the renowned quality of the investigational centres and clinical research professionals in this region. It furthermore enables HCR to have a more coherent approach to clients in these countries who justifiably want to have CRO resources available in their home countries. This geographic extension is part of an ongoing international expansion plan to provide our clients with access to new and relevant markets in the clinical research arena.
HCR now has two new offices in Copenhagen and Stockholm with field based personnel in Finland also. In total we now have 25 new Scandinavian colleagues working in our International Clinical Research team.

HCR is an international contract research organization offering full service clinical research capabilities to the pharmaceutical industry. With Phase I (clinical pharmacology unit in Munich, Germany) to Phase IV capabilities, HCR focuses on providing the services our clients require for the successful clinical development and registration of new pharmaceutical, biological and nutraceuticals products as well as medical devices by delivering the highest quality data, achieving promised enrolment and meeting project timelines.
