Dr. Jorge Garcia, International Business Development

The Harrison Clinical Research Group is pleased to welcome Dr. Jorge Garcia as Head of International Business Development. Dr. Garcia will be based in our German headquarters in Munich and will coordinate all business development activities between our head office and our affiliate offices, as well as being the main point of contact for potential sponsors worldwide.
Dr. Jorge Garcia was born 1957, in Santiago de Chile. He studied chemistry and biochemistry at the universities of Cologne and Bonn, Germany. He worked as research scientist in the field of arteriosclerosis at the Clinical Biochemistry Institute, Medical Department, University of Bonn. Arteriosclerosis was the main subject of his thesis for his PhD in 1994. He worked also as clinical trials coordinator. In 1995, he started as Project Manager at Interlab, a central laboratory for worldwide clinical trials, his last position there was Director of Business Development. From December 2000 to March 2008, he has held this position in acquisitions and business development at Staticon International, a European CRO and Geelen & Geelen GmbH, a recruitment agency for in- and out-sourcing experienced freelance clinical research staff in Europe .
