Harrison Clinical Research has recently been awarded the Gold Award by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), for more than 10 years of certified compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Currently, we have successfully undergone our 3rd re-certification and we were confirmed compliant with ISO 9001:2008 in February. The scope of our certificates remain unchanged excepting that we have been updated to 2008 from 2000 and we are very proud of this achievement.

The gold award was presented to HCR's QM Director Dr. Barbara Schnurr in Munich and she and HCR delegates are pictured here during the Clinical Excellence Awards ceremony in London, in October last year.

HCR Iberica celebrates 10 years of existence in 2010. HCR Iberica has successfully participated in over 100 projects in the last 10 years (approximately 15% in phase I, 60% in phase II-III and 25% in phase IV). The relevant therapeutic areas have been oncology, haematology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, cardiovascular and most recently nutritional studies. The office in Barcelona has grown to 17 members, a clinical operations manager, 4 project managers and a number of CRAs and CTAs. HCR Iberica has collaborated for the past 10 years with the local professional association of physicians (COMB) with their postgraduate course in clinical research.

Over 70 graduate students have obtained the title of Masters in Monitoring Clinical Trials through this course.

The European Centre for Clinical Research Training
(ECCRT) in Brussels celebrates 10 years of giving professional training courses in clinical research and related areas.

Originally part of the HCR Brussels office, it has been independent since 2009 and has gone from local to worldwide training courses and from intercompany training to public training and from telephone training to interactive learning. In the last 10 years over 5000 participants have taken part in ECCRT training courses,
(see www.ECCRT.com).

HCR France also opened in 2000 and now celebrates 10 years of existence. Moving to new offices in 2007 in Levallois-Perret, a suburb of Paris, we are very close to many sponsors. Our well trained team of Project Managers, CRAs and Clinical Trial Administrators have conducted many projects in different therapeutic areas, such as in oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, neurology, gynaecology, hepatology, gastroenterology, nutritional studies and studies in paediatrics and cardiology. Recently, two "first into man" studies in oncology patients have been awarded to HCR France and Quality Management services are offered directly to our clients.

HCR France is eligible for the Research Tax Credit and is a member of the French Association of CROs (AFCROs).
